I am officially DONE with Insanity!!! Here is my before & after picture from the program. I definitely feel so much stronger, in shape, and way more toned than I did in the first picture. This has been such an incredible journey. I started this program after hearing about it through my friend (go follow her, she’s awesome) http://emilyliveshealthy.tumblr.com/ but I never would’ve thought this journey would affect me in so many ways. When I started Insanity, I puked during the very first fit test and could barely even walk during the first week. I was drinking probably 2 or 3 cans of soda every day, and eating fast food and pretty much whatever I wanted, regularly. Now, I watch what I eat, no more soda or white breads or fast food. I joined a gym and discovered I love weight lifting. And when I’m having a bad day, I can almost instantly turn it around with some exercise. So thank you Shaun T, and thank you Emily for getting me started on such an incredible journey. And especially thank you to my sister Jenny (go follow! http://strongbodystrongmind.tumblr.com/) who also did Insanity with me & finished today! We were constant motivators of each other, encouraged each other to eat right, exercise hard, and dig deeper.
Now fit test results! Here are the comparisons from my very first fit test to my very last one, 63 days later.
Switch Kicks (2 kicks = 1 rep): 65 —> 95    (+30)
Power Jacks: 38 —> 70     (+32)
Power Knees: 40 —> 116     (+76)
Power Jumps: 0 —> 68     (+68)
Globe Jumps (4 jumps = 1 rep): 8 —> 12.5   (+4.5)
Suicide Jumps: 9 —> 17     (+8)
Push-up Jacks: 13 —> 46     (+33)
Low Plank Oblique: 46 —> 81     (+35)
To anyone questioning whether they should start Insanity or not, DO IT!!! It won’t be easy, but I promise it will be worth it.
